It operates through following business segments: Retail, International Franchising, and Commercial. The Retail segment includes the operating activities of company-owned stores in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and other retail operations, including its web-store and non-traditional store locations such as tourist venues, pop-up locations and ballpark stores. The International Franchising segment includes the licensing activities of its franchise agreements with store locations in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Mexico. The Commercial segment includes transactions with other business partners, mainly comprised of licensing its intellectual property, including entertainment properties, for third-party use and wholesale product sales. The company was founded by Maxine K. Clark in September 1997 and is headquartered in St. Louis, MO.
