Extended Business Description

ClearSign Combustion Corp. operates as a development stage company that designs and develops technologies for combustion and emissions control of improving both the operating economics and the environmental performance of combustion systems. It operates two core technologies Electrodynamic Combustion Control and Duplex burner. The Electrodynamic Combustion Control technology introduces a computer-controlled electric field into a combustion system in order to better control gas-phase chemical reactions and improve system performance and cost-effectiveness. The Duplex burner technology uses a unique two-tier refractory tile configuration to reduce nitrogen oxide gas emissions without the need for external flue gas recirculation, selective catalytic reduction, or higher excess air operation. ClearSign Combustion was founded by Rick Rutkowski, David Goodson and Geoff Osler on January 23, 2008 and is headquartered in Seattle, WA.
