Methode Electronics, Inc. manufactures component and subsystem devices. The company operates through four reportable business segments: Automotive, Interface, Power Products and Other. The Automotive segment supplies electronic and electro-mechanical devices and related products to automobile original equipment manufacturers. The Interface segment provides various copper and fiber-optic interconnect solutions for the aerospace, appliance, commercial, computer, construction, consumer, material handling, medical, military, mining, networking, storage, and telecommunications markets. The Power Distribution segment manufactures braided cables, bus devices, power-product assemblies, power cabling systems and bus bars that are used in various markets and applications, including telecommunications, computers, transportation, industrial and power conversion, inverters and battery systems, insulated gate bipolar transistor solutions, aerospace, military, telecommunications, and transportation. The Other segment engages in designing and manufacturing of magnetic torque sensing products, and includes independent laboratories that provide services for qualification testing and certification, and analysis of electronic and optical components. Methode Electronics was founded by William Joseph McGinley in 1946 and is headquartered in Chicago, IL.
