It operates through five segments: North America, Europe, South America, Asia and Surface Technologies Segment. Praxair's operations consist of two major product lines: Industrial gases and Surface technologies. The Industrial Gases product line centers on the manufacturing and distribution of atmospheric gases and process gases. The Surface Technologies segment supplies wear-resistant and high-temperature corrosion-resistant metallic and ceramic coatings and powders. Praxair was founded in 1907 and is headquartered in Danbury, CT.
