The Worldwide Barcode & Security segment focuses on automatic identification and data capture, point-of-sale, and electronic physical security technologies. The Communications & Services segment focuses on communications technologies and services. ScanSource was founded by Michael L. Baur and Steven H. Owings in December 1992 and is headquartered in Greenville, SC.
