The Commercial Networks segment develops and produces end-to-end satellite communication systems and ground networking equipment and products that address consumer, enterprise, in-flight, maritime and ground mobile applications market segments. The Government Systems segment develops and produces network-centric IP-based government communications systems, products, services and solutions, designed to enable the collection and dissemination of secure real-time digital information between command centers, communications nodes and air defense systems. The company was founded by Mark D. Dankberg, Steven R. Hart and Mark J. Miller in May 1986 and is headquartered in Carlsbad, CA.
